DISCOGRAPHY MISPRINTS
MEET MS. FRAZER
This misprint appeared on the double release version of "Head Over Heels + Sunburst & Snowblind" It is an official 4AD release and it's a disgrace that her own record label can't seem to spell her surname correctly. They have her listed as "Frazer" instead of the correct "Fraser"
FRAZER AGAIN
On the remastered edition of "Head Over Heels" they got her surname wrong again, they have her listed as "Frazer" instead of the correct "Fraser" One would thing they'd get it right the second time! Misprint is not visible from this image, it appears in the insert.
HALLO EVERYBODY
On the back cover of the vinyl version of "Garlands" instead of "Shallow Then Halo" it reads "Shallow Then Hallo"
BLOOD BATH
On the back of the CD insert of the remastered edition of "Garlands" instead of "Blood Bitch" it reads "Blood Bath"
CHECK YOUR CAINDER
On the Taiwanese edition of "Four Calendar Cafe" the album instead has the title "Four CAINDER Cafe"
NOT EVEN CLOSE
A bootleg entitled "The Complete Peel Sessions" has numerous title mistakes. "Farm The Flagstones" is my personal fave.
LULLABIES TO MISPRINTS
On the newly released 4-CD box set edition of "Lullabies To Violaine" the plastic outer sleeve reads "ROCOCCO" instead of "ROCOCO". Secondly, the track "Aikea-Guinea" is missing the hyphen. Thirdly, "Sigh's Smell of Farewell" is missing the apostrophe. None of these misprints are visible from this image.
BYE BYE LULLABIES
The UK edition of Lullabies on vinyl shows title discrepancies, on the outside it says "Feathers-Oar-Blades" (two hyphens) and on the inside it reads "Feathers Oar-Blades" (one hyphen). Secondly there is no hyphen (inside or out) on the title "It's All But An Ark Lark". None of these misprints are visible from this image.
DASH OFF
In the Canadian box set "It's All But An Ark Lark" and "Feathers Oar Blades" are both printed without hyphens. None of these misprints are visible from this image.
MR. SIMON
On the disc and sleeve of the Honda promo CD the names are listed as: "E.Fraser, R.Guthrie & R.Simon". None of these misprints are visible from this image.
TITLE THEFT
On the red promo cassette version of "Four Calendar Cafe" instead of "Theft, And Wandering Around Lost" it simply reads "Theft, The Wandering"
MOON MISTAKE
On the French CD edition of "The Moon & The Melodies" instead of "She Will Destroy You" it reads "She Will Destroy Me"
TO "THE" OR NOT TO "THE"
A common mistake is to list the band name as "The Cocteau Twins" instead of just "Cocteau Twins" as is the case on the cover of this Mondo 2000 magazine.
Here's another example where "THE" is added to the band name on this bootleg "Speak No Evil" 7" vinyl single

On a xmas compilation featuring various artists the cover clearly shows "THE Cocteau Twins"

Even on the fan-produced tribute album "THE" appears once again.

Another fan-produced tribute album "Dark Treasures: A Gothic Tribute To THE Cocteau Twins".

On a recent John Peel compilation entitled "Right Time, Wrong Speed" "THE Cocteau Twins" are credited for the track "Musette & Drums". The misprint is not visible from this image as it appears on the insert.
